Obituary: STANLEY’S OBITUARY
Stanley Dwight Saxton, 76, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Stan was born March 28, 1946, in Traverse City, Michigan to Gordon and Catherine (Lewis) Saxton. He grew up in Grawn and attended Traverse City Senior High. Stan spent two years in the Army then worked for Sheet Metal Workers Local 7. He retired in 1998 and spent his time hunting, fishing, gardening, and mushroom hunting. Stan was a member of the Interlochen Eagles and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the club.

Stan is survived by: his wife, Irene; sons, Jesse, Jeff, and Tony; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all of his family and friends he’s had the opportunity to meet and spend time with.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion.
