Obituary: Obituary for Loren Edward Radtke
Loren Edward Radtke, 74, of Traverse City, passed away on August 14, 2020 at Munson Medical Center. Mr. Radtke was born on January 1, 1946 in Whitmore Lake, son to the late Norman and Doris (Covert) Radtke. Loren served in the US Marine Corps during Vietnam and has always been a great American Patriot who loves his country. Although working in construction kept him quite busy, in his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors; hunting or landscaping, restoring classic cars or taking his jeeps off-roading or hill climbing. He was also very active in his local DAV, VFW, and Young Marines. Loren was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family. He will be greatly missed by his wife Mary Radtke, daughter Lisa Libby, son Doug Wilson, grandchildren Lauren Freiler and Madysen Libby, sister Mae Smith, and brothers Karl, Walter, Harold, and Marvin. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Ray, Larry, and Bobby. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the VFW Cherryland Post 2780, 3400 Veterans Dr, Traverse City. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
