Bio: 5-28-2024: Such changes retirement brings! I retired in 2005 after working 35 years for the State of Michigan. I worked 3 different State Departments, but retired from Social Services. My hubby and I enjoyed 10 years of traveling (along with providing Concealed Carry classes to over 1500 folks) before he passed away in 2015.

Being a widow has many challenges, but it was made so much easier by having purchased an Arizona home the year before he passed away. (No dealing with snow and snowplowing.) Currently, I spend 6 months in each place.

I have one son, 5 grandkids (counting 3 “bonus” ones, and 6 “greats” (also with 3 bonus ones). They are such delights, and I so enjoy my time with them.

Time in Michigan is full of family, friends and loving life in Traverse City. (High school friendships are a great treasure – such history!j) In Arizona, I am fortunate to be in a Senior community, with daily activities and events. I enjoy close friendships and a loving and vibrant church family, with many opportunities for serving and fellowshipping. I occasionally present at Christian Women’s events, and thoroughly enjoy doing so. There are health issues to contend with (of course), but every day is a blessing, and I am thankful for each one.

I look forward to seeing where life has taken my high school classmates!
