John Michael Hall
Obituary: John Michael Hall, 76 of Rapid City, MI passed away Thursday April 20th, 2023 after a valiant battle with cancer.
John, lovingly known as Johnny Mike to all his family and friends, was born on Nov. 8th, 1946, in Traverse City. Son of Mary Louise and Harry Amos Hall.
John served our Country honorably, enlisting into the United States Navy shortly after graduating from Traverse City Senior High School in 1964. During his life he worked as a restaurateur, insurance salesman, greenhouse worker and salesman at the family-owned business Hall’s Greenhouse, and his true calling in child day care “Little Lambs” that he lovingly tended along with his wife Terrie “Marsha” Hall.
Johnny Mike loved the outdoors and was born to fish. He also enjoyed deer hunting with his many brothers.
He leaves behind a daughter, Kimberly (Michael) Lloyd two grandchildren; Tyler and Madison, Aunt Suzanne McAtee, Aunt Marge Jackson, siblings, Carol (Bill) Pohlman, Madelon (Rick) Molfino, Chuck (Sandy) Hall, Joel (Kathy) Hall, Mark (Deb) Hall, Bruce (Laura) Hall, Mary Alaina (Greg) Leach, and Scott J. Hall, sister-in-law Jan Hall, sister-in-law Jessie Hall, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
John was preceded in death by both his parents, his wife Terrie “Marsha” Hall, brothers Thomas Kevin Hall, and Jon Leland Hall.
No formal services are planned but a graveside get together at Memorial Gardens will take place at a later date.
The family wishes to deeply thank all of Johnny Mikes caregivers from Hospice of Michigan and all who cared for him at MediLodge of Traverse City.
