Obituary: After a long illness, Judy Griffith loving wife of Joel, loving mother to Danny and Barbara has gone to be with her Lord and Savior.
Judy was born Nov. 17, 1945 to Lyle and Louise Brigham in Kalamazoo. When she was seven years old they moved to East Duck Lake Rd in Grawn where she grew up with her siblings, brothers, Lee, Jerry, Joe and sister, Janice.
In 1963 she met the love of her life Joel Griffith. They married December 21 of that year. The following year Danny was born and two years after that Barbara was born. They raised their family in the Long Lake area and in 1984 they moved to Bendon where they still reside.
Judy loved to garden and canned many vegetables and fruits every year. She also liked camping, hunting and fishing with Joel.
After raising their children Judy went to work for Munson Medical Center in Food and Nutrition. She retired from Munson in 2012.
Judy is survived by her husband, Joel; her son, Danny; and her daughter, Barbara; grandchildren, Lane and his wife Krystyna Griffith, Chris and his wife Melissa Huttenga, Shea Griffith, Heather Huttenga and Cody Bennett;. great-grandchildren, Harper, Hunter, Evelyn, Addison, Cooper, Oliver and Maddaline; her brothers, Lee and Joe Brigham; and her sister, Janice (Gordon) Steele; sister in law, Peggy Brigham; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Louise Brigham; her brother, Jerry; sister in law, Judy Brigham; and daughter in law, Jennifer Griffith.
A special thanks to her friends and family members that stopped by regularly to see her during her long illness. What a blessing you all are.
We will be holding a celebration of life later in the spring. We will announce it through family, friends, and social media.
